Penny Aukamp began her career in Workers’ Compensation at an Occupation Medicine Provider. Her duties included managing a satellite office. She joined Murray in 2001 in the Workers’ Compensation area as an Administrative Case Manager. As an Administrative Case Manager, she acted as an advocate for employees as well as providers. This role included scheduling
appointments, tracking medical, monitoring lost time, and proactively obtaining light-duty and consulting with injured workers. She also participated in claims management conferences and client service meetings.

In 2005 Penny was promoted to Claims Specialist, where she works principally with self-insured clients in the programs area for hospitals and public school districts. In this role she is responsible for the overall management of the claims and service for her accounts which includes attending mediations, hearings, board meetings and Claims Service meetings.

Penny regularly attends workers’ compensation and litigation training. In addition she is continuing her education with business related coursework.

Penny served as a member of the ESOP committee and is Chair of the Wellness Committee. She is also active with the Lancaster County Relay for Life.
