Jeff Gelburd joined Murray Risk Management and Insurance in 2007 as Vice President, Program Services Division. Prior to Murray, Jeff served as National Business Development Coordinator within the Program and Franchise Practice of Marsh USA and also served as Client Executive for several local companies. Prior to Marsh, he was the Business Development Director for the Harrisburg office of Sedgwick of Pennsylvania. Jeff also served as Risk Manager for DENTSPLY International.

Jeff earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from York College of Pennsylvania and has attained the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Risk Management designations.

Jeff is recognized nationally for his expertise in Fiduciary and Director’s & Officer’s Liability having developed the only program providing insurance specifically for ESOP companies. Jeff’s knowledge of ESOPs dates back to 1982 when he was responsible for administration of an ESOP for DENTSPLY International, a global dental manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in York, PA. His work also included implementing similar qualified employee stock plans in Australia and in Europe.

In 1989, Jeff launched a Fiduciary Liability Insurance Program for members of The ESOP Association. The Program evolved into also providing Director’s and Officer’s Liability and Employment Practices Liability. In 1991, Jeff also initiated a professional liability insurance program for members in all disciplines of the American Society of Appraisers.

Jeff has spoken at various national conferences, authored articles for Pension World and CFO Magazine and was most recently published in The ESOP Report Magazine. He is also one of the original founding officers of the Pennsylvania Chapter of The ESOP Association. He is Past President of Kids’ Chance of Pennsylvania, Inc. and on the Advisory Committee for the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania.
