ASA Professional Liability Program
A Program Designed for Members of American Society of Appraisers
Most professional liability insurers consider business valuation a “high-risk” to insure firms have found the availability of professional liability insurance is limited and premiums for this coverage are often sporadic. To address the need of our member base, the American Society of Appraisers has established its own, separate Professional Liability Insurance Program, available only to ASA business valuation discipline members.

Program Highlights
Multi-Market Approach - One-stop shopping, allowing you to work with an experienced program administrator who will obtain multiple quotations from several insurance companies, all of which have a clear understanding of the business valuation profession and the precautions most firms take to mitigate risk.
Competitive - Several insurance companies will be competing for your business! Your program administrator will provide individual consultation to review and explain each proposal and will assist you in making an informed decision.
Stability - Coverage will only be available from insurance companies having favorable A.M. Best ratings expertise in underwriting professional liability coverage for the business valuer.
High Policy Limits - Choose from limits as low as $500,000 or as high as $10,000,000.
Low, Competitive Rates and Low Deductibles - Minimum premiums start at $1,000. Members may choose from deductibles as low as $1,500.
Policy Review and Loss Prevention - Your program administrator will address any concerns you may have involving contract language and ways to prevent claims.
